The Opportunity
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and entrepreneurial commercial lending professional to substantially contribute to Peace Hills Trust’s growth and success in Manitoba. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Senior Commercial Account Manager will develop productive relationships with new and existing commercial clients to build and grow a sound portfolio that meets PHT’s policies and guidelines. This is a hybrid position based out of the Peace Hills Trust branch in Winnipeg.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate relationships to increase awareness, realize business opportunities, and expand Peace Hills Trust’s commercial business in Winnipeg and throughout Manitoba.
- Source, develop, and grow profitable opportunities for new and existing relationships with Indigenous and non-Indigenous customers.
- Identify, negotiate, underwrite, and present high-quality credit proposals, demonstrating expertise in risk assessment, financial analysis, and credit structuring / solutions.
- Work to achieve asset growth and profitability targets.
- Manage relationships and overall credit portfolio, including PCAMLTF legislative requirements, loan draw files, renewals and annual reviews, financial statement analysis, and market trends.
- Liaise with the Regional Manager and Corporate Credit team to ensure continuity of customer service and the accuracy of credit and lending-related deals.
- Protect company assets by ensuring compliance with PHT requirements including security, control and reporting procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of commercial lending experience, including risk assessment, financial analysis, and credit structuring/solutions.
- Demonstrated success in business development and sales.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Direct experience with First Nations would be an asset.
- A relevant post-secondary degree or diploma would be an asset.
